Get answers to common questions about Waxing - Lip or Chin.
Most clients enjoy smooth upper lip or chin results for three to six weeks. Hair growth varies with hormones, genetics, and skincare products. Regular appointments can soften hair over time; we recommend scheduling every 4–6 weeks for consistent maintenance and best outcomes.
Waxing causes a quick, sharp sensation but pain is brief. We minimize discomfort with experienced techniques, appropriate wax temperature, calming pre-treatment, and post-wax soothing gel. Avoid caffeine and schedule when relaxed—topical numbing creams can be used on request.
Ensure hair is about a quarter inch long for proper grip. Avoid exfoliating or using retinoids 48–72 hours prior; clean makeup-free skin is best. Inform us about medications, recent chemical peels, or skin sensitivities to prevent adverse reactions.
Apply a soothing, alcohol-free serum or aloe gel and avoid heat, heavy makeup, or sun exposure for 24 hours. Gently exfoliate after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs. If redness persists or you notice severe irritation, contact us for advice.
Waxing can remove fine vellus hair, but results vary and may irritate delicate skin. Threading, dermaplaning, or gentle tweezing are often recommended for peach fuzz. We'll assess your hair type and skin to recommend the best, least irritating method.
Most clients book every three to six weeks depending on growth and comfort. Allow full hair regrowth between sessions to ensure effective removal and reduced irritation. Frequent waxing is safe when performed professionally; we'll advise a personalized schedule.
