Get answers to common questions about Waxing - Back.
Results usually last three to six weeks depending on your hair growth cycle. Regular waxing often slows regrowth and makes hair appear finer over time, so scheduling every four to six weeks maintains a smooth back.
Discomfort varies by individual and area sensitivity. Our technicians use speedy technique, pre-warm wax, and calming measures. Numbing creams can be used on request and aftercare reduces tenderness and inflammation effectively.
Ensure hair is about a quarter-inch long, exfoliate gently two to three days before, avoid sunburn or recent tanning, and skip heavy lotions on the day. Inform us about medications or skin conditions beforehand.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, and direct sun for 24 hours. Wear breathable clothing, apply a soothing, fragrance-free lotion or aloe if needed, and delay exfoliation for 48 hours to prevent irritation and infection.
Waxing can occasionally cause ingrown hairs. Prevention includes regular gentle exfoliation, professional waxing technique, avoiding shaving between sessions, and using topical salicylic acid products if you’re prone to ingrowns.
Individuals with open wounds, severe sunburn, recent chemical peels, or isotretinoin use within six months should avoid waxing. Certain skin conditions or heavy scarring may also preclude treatment; consult our therapist for a patch test.
