Treatment steps and layering
The Pigment Brightening Facial uses a specific order of corrective and restorative steps: a customized double cleanse, dermaplaning to remove surface dead skin and fine hair, targeted extractions when needed, then nano-channeling to enhance product delivery. Each step prepares the skin so actives applied afterward can penetrate more evenly without unnecessary irritation.
Cooling and restorative layers follow exfoliation to calm skin and reduce transient redness. A cooling sheet mask and Cold Globe facial massage are combined with the Glacial® Glide treatment and Eye Renew Complex to soothe and hydrate. The session finishes with Colorescience® Finishing Touch for immediate UV protection and a protective cosmetic layer.
What happens during session
Your facial is delivered over 75 minutes and is paced to balance active correction with restorative cooling. The esthetician will include a lymphatic massage to encourage fluid movement and a nano-channeling step to improve topical absorption. Expect gentle pressure during extractions, and progressive cooling during masks and globe massage to help calm the skin.
Clients describe leaving feeling both pampered and noticeably refreshed; clarity and glow are common immediate observations. We know Columbia clients often stop in before or after commuting on the North Beltline or I-77, so evening and weekend appointments are available to fit work and family schedules.
Ideal candidates and timing
This facial is designed for people concerned about melasma, hyperpigmentation, UV damage, uneven tone or general dullness who want a corrective, non‑invasive approach. The protocol improves skin clarity by combining surface exfoliation with deeper topical delivery rather than relying on a single method, though individual responses vary and a consult can clarify expectations.
Seasonality matters: we are busiest in Sep, Oct, and Nov because fall is a practical time to address summer sun damage. Columbia’s humid subtropical climate and frequent outdoor seasons make consistent sun protection and planned corrective treatments important for long‑term clarity.
