Healing and maintenance timing
Expect the color to appear about 30–40% darker immediately, then lighten through the healing process. Scabbing or flaking can occur around days 4–14; avoid picking. Keep the area dry for roughly 7–10 days and follow aftercare ointment instructions carefully. True color and settled texture usually emerge during weeks 2–6 as the skin completes healing.
Long-term pigment retention depends on skin type, lifestyle, aftercare, and pigment uptake. An annual touch-up appointment should be booked within 12–18 or 18–36 months from the original appointment to maintain shape and color. If maintenance is not completed within the appropriate timeframe, a new set investment may be required.
