How the process works
Before any treatment we require a laser consultation to assess pigment type, depth, age, and any scar tissue from prior tattooing. During the consult we evaluate whether a 6x6" area is appropriate and estimate the likely number of sessions, which shapes timing and expected fading.
Pricing is based on the tattoo's measured treatment area; although this service covers a 6x6" footprint, tattoos may be square, round, narrow, oblong, or irregular. If the tattoo exceeds that footprint we will measure and apply the appropriate treatment size or add an additional charge. Numbing cream is provided at consultation and must be self-applied 10–15 minutes before arrival.
What to expect during treatment
A single XL-area appointment is scheduled for 45 minutes; that time covers preparation, targeted application across the 6x6" area, and immediate post-treatment care. Our clinicians focus on client comfort and professional technique; reviewers have noted a welcoming staff and careful, informative handling that helps first-time clients feel at ease.
Because every tattoo responds differently, we do not promise a fixed number of sessions during the appointment. The consultation provides an individualized plan estimating treatments needed. Packages of nine treatments are available for clients pursuing full removal and can be purchased via the SHOP tab → PACKAGES prior to booking to realize savings.
Healing, timing, and scheduling
Healing after laser tattoo removal requires sun avoidance and staged recovery between sessions; the clinic's busiest months are October, November, January and February because those seasons provide more predictable low-sun windows for large-scale fading. Expect your provider to recommend spacing between appointments based on your skin's response and the tattoo's characteristics.
Columbia's humid subtropical climate means strong summer sun and frequent thunderstorms can complicate scheduling; many clients prefer off-season appointments or evening and weekend times to combine visits with commuting routes like the North Beltline or I-77.
