Consultation and assessment process
Consultation is required before booking and is how we assess tattoos within the 3x3" treatment area. During this visit we review pigment type, ink depth, tattoo age and any scar tissue from previous application. These variables determine feasibility and form the basis for an estimated treatment plan and session count tailored to your tattoo.
At consultation we provide topical numbing cream; please self-apply it 10–15 minutes before your appointment as instructed. Pricing for this service is based on the measured treatment area and the tattoo’s actual shape—square, round, narrow, oblong or irregular. Areas larger than 3x3" will be measured and charged according to the appropriate size.
Treatment session and timing
A Small Area appointment is scheduled for 30 minutes. The clinician will map the 3x3" zone, prepare the skin, confirm numbing comfort and deliver the targeted treatment. The visit includes short treatment steps with brief pauses for skin response monitoring; complete aftercare instructions will be given to support healing and reduce infection or pigmentation risks.
Our clients consistently report feeling comfortable and well cared for by knowledgeable staff members, which helps first-timers relax during treatment. Many begin their multi-session journeys in October, November, January and February to allow fading before summer. Our Forest Acres location is convenient for commuters using North Beltline or I-77 and supports evening appointments.
Expected course and outcomes
Removal of a tattoo typically requires multiple sessions; the exact number cannot be guaranteed and will be estimated during consultation. Factors such as pigment color, ink depth, tattoo age and any scarring all influence how quickly ink breaks down. We always set realistic expectations based on your tattoo’s individual characteristics.
For clients aiming for full removal, packages of nine treatments are available through the SHOP tab under PACKAGES and offer savings when purchased before booking. The Small Area price is $150 per session with a 30-minute appointment length. Our team’s professional, compassionate approach helps many clients feel secure through the process.
